The, July 28 episode number 8 of ISTE Eduverse Talks, a bi-weekly talk show sponsored by HP and produced by Second Life Cable Network, was "The MUVErs Show" in its entirety! [NEW: now available online at treet.tv!] All three co-founders were aboard for a lively chat with the show's host, KJ Hax (Kevin Jarrett in the "real world") and the audience reportedly peaked out at 66, just shy of locking down the sim. ISTE facilitators were surprised at the turnout, noting that the show took place in the last few weeks of educators' summer breaks. After the scripted show, MUVErs Cathy, John, and Scott stayed put for some similarly lively question and answer.
The interest is palpable, the innovation is intriguing, and most of all, the education community seems to "get" what we have been maintaining since the beginning: 3D learning opportunities that are engaging, accurate, and fun can get the job done, and get it done in ways that more traditional forms of classroom learning (lecture, rote memorization, and fill-in-the-dots) simply cannot.
We'll embed the archive show when it's up. Meanwhile, you can read the show's description here and see a blogpost about it here!
